VocaRead ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the VocaRead mobile application.
We do not collect any personal data. VocaRead operates entirely on your device. No data is sent to our servers.
If you use iCloud, VocaRead can sync your reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, and custom pronunciations between your devices through your personal, private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). This data is stored in your own iCloud space, protected by Apple, and is never accessible to us. You can disable iCloud for VocaRead at any time in iOS Settings.
VocaRead's text-to-speech engines run entirely on your device — no text is ever sent to a cloud service. The optional on-device translation feature also works locally. When browsing Project Gutenberg within the app, you connect directly to gutenberg.org under their privacy terms.
All data (books, settings, progress) is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. We have no access to your device data.
VocaRead does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
